Note: Each section within the main window is resizable, depending on your own preference.
Available Clauses List / Document Preview
The available clause folders are listed down the left hand side of the screen. Each folder can contain any number of sub-folders - depending on your requirements. Expand a folder to see its contents. Each clause is listed as a Word or PDF document or attachment package. To preview the clause, simply click on it. The clause is displayed in the Document Preview window.
If your Sirokai Clauses administrator has assigned additional information or drafting notes about the selected clause this will be displayed in the Information Panel at the top-right of the screen.
NOTE: Whilst the preview window will display the contents of .doc, .dot, .docx, dotx and pdf files, it does not support files which contain macros or password protected PDFs. If the selected file contains a macro you may see jumbled text in this window. As a result of this it is recommended that you store your Word clauses in .docx or .dotx format as Word does not allow these file types to contain macros.
Selecting Clauses to be Added to your Email Body
If you wish to use a particular clause, right-click and select "Insert into Email Body". This will add the clause to the "Selected Items" list at the bottom of the screen with the type of "MessageBody". Only Word or Text documents can be inserted into the email body.
Depending on your system settings, you can automatically insert a Word clause into the email body by double-clicking on it.
As with the Available Clauses list, you can preview any document within the Selected Items list by clicking on it.
To remove an item from the Selected Items list, simply double-click on it or right-click and select "Remove".
Selecting Clauses to be Added as an Attachment
If you wish to add a particular clause or file as an attachment, right-click and select "Add as Attachment". This will add the clause to the "Selected Items" list at the bottom of the screen with the type of "Attachment". All file types can be added as attachments.
As PDF and attachment packages can only be added as attachments, double-clicking on these files will also add them to the Selected Items list. You can make Word documents be added as attachments by default by modifying the relevant setting within the Settings dialogue.
