Maintaining Letterheads

 

 

The Letterheads administration screen allows you to configure the various electronic letters used by your firm.

Creating a Letterhead

1.Click Letterheads from the Feature Maintenance section of the Kaitools Configuration screen.

2.The Letterheads dialogue is displayed.

3.Click the      button to create a new letterhead.  The Letterhead Setup dialogue is displayed.

4.Enter the name of the letterhead in the field provided.  This is what the users will see when they click the Letterhead drop down list from the Kaitools ribbon.

5.A letterhead can consist of up to two files - a header file and footer file.  Select these by clicking the ... button in the relevant fields.

NOTE:  Sometimes if might be tempting to put everything in the header.  Whilst this is possible, having objects at the bottom of the page but in the header have been known to cause formatting issues from time to time, especially when the page contains tables that go over two pages.

For this reason, it is recommended to split your letterhead into separate header and footer documents as required.

6.Click OK to close the Letterhead Setup dialogue.

7.Click the Close button to close the Letterheads dialogue.

8.Click Save to save the settings.

 

Editing a Letterhead

1.To edit an existing letterhead, select it from the list of available letterheads then click the      button.

2.Update the letterhead as necessary then click the OK button to close it.

3.Click the Close button to close the letterheads dialogue.

4.Click Save to save the settings.

 

Deleting a Letterhead

1.Select the letterhead from the list of available letterheads.

2.Click the Delete button.

3.Click Yes to delete the letterhead.

4.Click the Close button to close the letterheads dialogue.

5.Click Save to save the settings.
