Disabling Affinity Receipt Printing

 

Lexis Affinity is designed to automatically print receipts using its own receipt format.  To make working with KaiReceipts easier and more streamlined, you can ensure the Affinity print option is not selected by default, or you can even hide it altogether.

 

 

Deselecting Print by Default

 

Receipt printing defaults is managed in Affinity via Employee Types Security.  To ensure the Print option is not selected by default complete the following steps within Lexis Affinity:

 

1.Launch Database | Employees

2.Click the Employee Types button from the toolbar in the Employees screen.

3.Click the Security button (golden padlock).

4.Ensure the following options are disabled:

                    Receipt > General > Print

                    Receipt > Trust > Print

5.Repeat the above for all employee types.

 

 

 

Hiding the Print option from the Affinity Receipt Screen

 

If you prefer to hide the print option altogether, this is done via the Banks screen.  To hide the Print option complete the following steps within Lexis Affinity:

 

1.Launch Financial Maintenance | Banks

2.Select the Receipts tab.

3.For each receipt series within the list, delete "STANDARD" from the Program column.

4.Save the Bank record.

5.Repeat the above for all current bank accounts.

 

 

To reinstate the Affinity print option, simply undo the above steps.
