Troubleshooting
If the KaiReceipts Monitor window does not appear when you create a receipt, this will be because either:
a)KaiReceipts Monitor is not running;
b)KaiReceipts Monitor has been paused; or
c)Your firewall has not been configured correctly.
To ensure KaiReceipts Monitor is running, check for the KaiReceipts Monitor icon in the notification section of your Windows task bar. You may need to expand this section to see all icons. Do this by clicking the
button at the left of the notifications area. You should see one of the following icons:
KaiReceipts Monitor is running.
KaiReceipts Monitor is paused.
If you cannot see the KaiReceipts Monitor icon, launch KaiReceipts Monitor from the Start Menu.
If KaiReceipts is paused, right-click over the icon and select Resume Monitoring.
If KaiReceipts is running then the issue will be firewall related. Double-check your local firewall to ensure incoming TCP connections are granted to the KaiReceiptsMonitor.exe program on either All Ports (if Automatic port selection is enabled), or the specific port as specified in your KaiReceipts settings. Ensure there are no rules blocking the KaiReceiptsMonitor program. These may appear if you click on the Cancel button in the Windows Security Alert window.
Note that if you change the port settings within the KaiReceipts settings, you will need to restart the KaiReceipts Monitor program. Do this by selected Exit from the KaiReceipts Monitor menu, then launching it again via the KaiReceipts Monitor icon in your Start menu.
If you are not comfortable working with the firewall settings or you do not have access to change these settings, please contact your system administrator.
